
David Zikusoka
Next Generation National Security Fellow, 2019
David Zikusoka is a Research Fellow in Aerospace Studies at the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments (CSBA). Prior to CSBA, he worked at the U.S. Cyberspace Solarium Commission, where he was Policy Director for the Commission’s Integration Cell, developing approaches to long-term strategic competition in the cyber domain. Previously, he worked in the Office of the Secretary of Defense as a Space Policy and Strategy Analyst, Special Assistant for Battlespace Awareness, and Special Assistant for Global Force Planning. Prior to the Department of Defense, Dave served on the national security staff in the office of Vice President Joseph Biden, including as Senior Advisor for Weapons of Mass Destruction and Nonproliferation. Dave has been a Security Fellow at the Truman National Security Project in Washington and has worked and written on topics ranging from space warfare and nuclear weapons to the security implications of artificial intelligence.
Dave grew up in New Jersey and received a Master in Public Policy from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University and an AB in History from Harvard University. In his free-time, he pretends at being a DJ, music blogger, chef, and cyclist.
