Research Areas
Ryan Beane is a Joseph S. Nye, Jr. intern for the Technology and National Security Program at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS).
Prior to joining CNAS, Beane was an intern for the Australia Chair at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, where he tracked security and political developments in Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands. He also interned at the Brookings Institution, the East Asian and Pacific Bureau at the Department of State, and Business Executives for National Security. His research experience has been focused on Indo-Pacific security, undersea warfare, and defense policy.
Beane recently graduated with an MA in security policy studies from The George Washington University and holds a BA in history from the University of Massachusetts Boston.
