Ryan Paoloni is a Joseph S. Nye, Jr. intern for the Defense Program at the Center for New American Security (CNAS).
Prior to joining CNAS, Paoloni worked for the Global Research Institute at William & Mary, where he was a founding member of the Statecraft Simulation Group. There, he developed two simulations: a China-focused economic simulation and a Russia-focused Arctic wargame. He also worked in William & Mary’s data science department, where he developed an in-house AI advisor for the Arctic wargame.
Paoloni earned his BA in international relations and economics from the College of William & Mary and is currently pursuing his master’s at Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service in the Security Studies Program.
