Sydney Simon

Former Senior Communications Officer

Sydney Simon is a former Senior Communications Officer at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS), where she primarily manages media relations and other aspects of the organization's strategic communications. Previously, she was a Press Officer at the German Marshall Fund’s Washington headquarters. Before joining GMF, Sydney spent more than five years at The Atlantic, where she held roles in the publisher's communications office and on the AtlanticLIVE events team. Prior to that, she was part of a small team planning and executing the annual Halifax International Security Forum.

Sydney has an M.A. in Security Policy Studies from the George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs, and a B.A. in International Relations and International Development from Tulane University.
