CNAS Welcomes Adam Pritzker to Board of Directors
Washington, May 6, 2026 — The Center for a New American Security (CNAS) today announced the election of Adam Pritzker to the Center’s Board of Directors. He previously served on the Center’s Board of Advisors.
Pritzker is an entrepreneurial leader and investor whose work spans business, civic life, and policy. He is the cofounder and chairman of The States Project, an organization that focuses on state legislatures across the country.
Pritzker also cofounded General Assembly, an education and coworking company that has provided professional development and skills trainings to more than one million students at campuses across four continents. He has co-founded and served as chair of Assembled Brands Capital Corporation, KHAITE, and Wholestack LP, and is a founding partner of Artium AI.
“Adam brings a formidable career of strategic judgment and proven leadership to our board,” said Michèle Flournoy, CNAS cofounder and chair of the CNAS Board of Directors. “He has worked extensively at the intersection of business and civic engagement, and we look forward to welcoming him to the CNAS board.”

Pritzker is also a member of Columbia University’s Board of Trustees. At CNAS, he has been involved in the organization’s work on state divergence and American federalism and their implications for national security.
