Dot Gov ’26: The Departments of Defense and Veteran Affairs
Last week, Trump called for a record $1.5 trillion defense budget. And at Veterans Affairs, his administration implemented a staffing reorganization. And just last month, it was announced that tens of thousands of unfilled positions at the department would be cut. How have our government’s priorities shifted and how have these agencies been transformed? CNAS Director of Studies Katherine Kuzminski joined 1A to discuss.
