After the Awakening: Future Security Trends in the Middle East
CNAS Research Associate Jacob Stokes identifies seven major trends driving Middle East geopolitics and economics in After the Awakening: Future Security Trends in the Middle East. In his policy brief, Mr. Stokes offers an examination of the interrelationships among such recent developments as the changing energy map, endeavors to curb the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and economic crises in the region. Such a review, says the author, is intended as a constructive starting point for policymakers as they attempt to navigate the region.
