On April 19, 2024, CNAS hosted a joint virtual event in Japan with the Japan Institute for International Affairs (JIIA). This was the second in a series of regional workshops that assessed threats, gaps, and opportunities for cooperation in cybersecurity between the United States and allies and partners in the Indo-Pacific. The event featured CNAS’s Vivek Chilukuri, Senior Fellow and Director of the Technology and National Security Program; Jacob Stokes, Senior Fellow in the Indo-Pacific Security Program; experts from JIIA; academics; and more. Panelists discussed cybersecurity threats, policies, and opportunities for partnership in the Indo-Pacific with a focus on Japan.
