Virtual Event | Strengthening Cyber Partnerships in the Indo-Pacific
Jul 21, 2025
9:00am
to

ET
The cyber landscape in the Indo-Pacific has become more varied, volatile, and dangerous than ever. Left unchecked, rising cyber aggression from China, North Korea, Russia, and nonstate actors threatens to undercut the economic potential of rapid digitalization in the region, along with aspirations for closer military and economic ties with the United States.
To meet the moment, governments from Tokyo to Taipei have rolled out historic new policies and investments. These steps are welcome but insufficient. Washington and its Indo-Pacific allies and partners must also explore new partnerships to bolster joint cybersecurity and resilience while working to overcome persistent challenges, such as replacing legacy technology, addressing cyber workforce gaps, and streamlining policy.
Join the Center for a New American Security (CNAS) on Monday, July 21, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. ET for a virtual event with distinguished cyber experts from Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and the Philippines to explore the fast-evolving cyber landscape in the Indo-Pacific and options for the Trump administration and regional governments to strengthen cyber partnerships to advance shared prosperity, security, and values.
This virtual event follows the release of a major new CNAS report, Cyber Crossroads in the Indo-Pacific: Navigating Digital Potential and Cyber Peril.
Live viewers will have the opportunity to ask questions during the event.
