Ayla McBreen is a former Joseph S. Nye, Jr. Intern for the Military, Veterans & Society Program at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS).
Ayla graduated from Kenyon college where she earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and public policy. She was awarded highest honors for her senior honors thesis examining how U.S. civil-military relations were altered in the period following the Vietnam War and the contemporary implications of those changes. Before joining CNAS, Ayla interned for Senator Mark Warner and was a fellow in the Hudson Institute’s political studies program.
