Derek Bernsen is a SETA at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, where he manages programs to deliver breakthrough technologies in the cyber domain. He previously served in the U.S. Navy as a Cyber Warfare Engineer Officer from 2013-2021 on active duty and has since transitioned to the reserves. Derek previously worked at L3Harris Trenchant, Riverloop Security, and the Hacker Initiative. Derek earned a M.S. in Computer Science from Georgia Tech and a B.S. in Computer Science from The Citadel.
