Erin Corcoran

Ms. Erin Corcoran is the Assistant Vice President for Alumnae Relations and Global Engagement at Wellesley College. She was previously a career civil servant with the Department of Defense for almost ten years, most recently serving in the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) as the Special Assistant to the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy from 2023-2025. Previously, she worked as the OSD Acting Director for Strategy, focusing on the implementation of the 2022 National Defense Strategy. She also served as the Special Assistant to the Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Affairs and as the Open Skies treaty lead on the Russia and Conventional Arms Control desk in the OSD Russia, Ukraine, and Eurasia office. She also worked on conventional arms control issues for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency and the Department of the Navy. Ms. Corcoran received her M.A. in defense and strategic studies from the Naval War College and her B.A. in international relations and political science from Wellesley College.
