Michael Beckley co-founded Appian (Nasdaq: APPN) in 1999, a leader in the Low Code software market.

Appian software powers digital transformation in many of the world’s largest companies as well as over forty federal agencies. As Chief Technology Officer, Mr. Beckley directs Appian’s product strategy and provides industry thought leadership in the Low Code and Intelligent Automation markets.

Mr. Beckley serves on the Industrial Advisory Board for the University of Virginia’s Computer Science Department and on the Advisory Board for 1843 Capital, a technology venture firm advocating for gender equity to generate superior returns.

Before founding Appian in 1999, Mr. Beckley was an early employee and Product Manager at analytics pioneer MicroStrategy (Nasdaq: MSTR).

Mr. Beckley holds an AB in Government from Dartmouth College where he did his thesis on naval strategy in the Post-Cold War era.
