When arrows don't penetrate / Cupid grabs the pistol

I'm home this weekend battling what I believe to be a mild case of Ebola, but that will not stop me from reminding you all that this past week marked the one-year anniversary of the assassination of Imad Mughniyeh. (And today is the four-year anniversary of the assassination of Rafik al-Hariri.) Nick Blanford had a really good article on Hizballah's calculus of revenge, asking whether or not deterrence is working.
