What Is Voice of America and Why Trump Is Dismantling the Broadcaster
For the better part of a century, Voice of America has broadcast into countries whose governments censored free information. The Trump administration has dismantled VOA's parent organization, put all of its employees on leave and ended funding for independent media agencies. Nick Schifrin discussed the move with Mike Abramovitz and Lisa Curtis, program director and senior fellow at the Center for a New American Security.
