Maverick McGann is a former Development Consultant and the former Joseph S. Nye, Jr. Intern for the Development Team at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS).

Prior to joining CNAS, Maverick gained valuable experience through internships at Alex Taylor Law LLC, a Criminal Defense firm, David Bailey Associates, a boutique lobbying firm in Virginia's capital, and Don't Mute DC, a grassroots political organization in Washington D.C. focused on equitable access to arts and resources for all Washingtonians.

Maverick is currently completing his final year as a Division 1 soccer player while pursuing a BA in Political Science and History at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). His senior thesis examines the impact of intersectionality on legislative effectiveness in the minority party and the potential implications of this data. Maverick's diverse experiences and academic achievements highlight his potential to contribute meaningfully to the field of political science and beyond.
