Sissy Martinez

Sissy Martinez is a former Joseph S. Nye, Jr. Intern for the Transatlantic Security Program at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS).

Before joining CNAS, Sissy interned with the Institute of Economics and Peace in Brussels, where she supported the Director of Europe and MENA with the launch of the 2020 Global Terrorism Index. She has also worked on Capitol Hill for Congressman Antonio Delgado (NY-19). Prior to her time on the Hill, Sissy interned for Congressman Delgado’s congressional campaign in her home district in Upstate New York.

Sissy is currently pursuing an M.A. in Terrorism and Homeland Security Policy at American University’s School of Public Affairs. Sissy received her B.A. in Political Science and Justice and Law, with a concentration in terrorism and security studies from American University.
