Top American Experts Ashley J Tellis And Lisa Curtis Decode Modi-Trump Bilateral On India Today
Prime Minister Modi's visit to Washington DC aimed to establish India as a key partner for the United States. The leaders discussed defence cooperation, including potential F-35 sales, and agreed to begin trade negotiations. Experts view the early engagement as strategically important, despite concerns over tariffs and trade imbalances. The visit sets the stage for a possible Quad summit in India later this year. Lisa Curtis, senior fellow and director of the Indo-Pacific Security Program at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS), joins the conversation.
